Grief support group for students on Thursday afternoon

Grief is often a hidden issue among students. The impact of a profound loss can be great, in some cases burdening studies and raising life questions. In our group, there is space for your experiences and the confusing feelings that can accompany them. Space for memories of the loved one and a look to the future. We explore how you can shape the grieving process and also cope with your studies (again).

Please note that this group is for Dutch-speaking participants. If you are interested in an English support group, please let us know by filling in the form on this page

    General

In a small group, we reflect on:

    • loss, grief and studying, how does that go together?
    • sharing grief with your immediate environment, is that possible?
    • ways of coping, which one suits you best?
    • your unique loss coping process, where nothing is strange.

All RU and HAN students are welcome. The group meets 5 times and is guided by Anne Muskens (student psychologist HAN) and Nicole Schubert (spiritual counsellor/student pastor).

Students feedback that they enjoy sharing their experiences with fellow students who have gone through something similar. The group is low-threshold and appeals to students who want to consciously reflect on their loss experience.
