Welcome to the Red Bow Club, a dance production by dance company Introdans with dancers from Radboud University! Journey to the roaring twenties: and namely the year 1923, the year Radboud University is founded and the government in The Hague announces a ban on dance mania (the Charleston).
Thursday 19 October (18:45 and 20:15), Friday 20 October (20:00 and 21:00) and Saturday 21 October (14:15 and 15:45) | Festival tent Idolize
Red Bow Club
At the Red Bow Club, you experience vibrant nightlife as it should have been, were it not for the fact that dance was banned in the Netherlands. The Charleston was immensely popular in Paris, Berlin, London and New York, but was called a dance mania here and officially banned by the denominational parties in the government in The Hague.
In an original spiegeltent (mirror tent) of the era, choreographers Adriaan Luteijn and Chantal de Vries will take you back in time and correct it. Twenty-four dancing students and employees of Radboud University are the protagonists who make sure you stand outside again refreshed after 30 minutes.

Radboud Art & Science Festival
This event is part of Radboud Art & Science. On 19, 20 and 21 October, immerse yourself in the world of art and science on the university campus.
Let yourself be transported to the past through music, film, and dance. Walk past photo exhibitions, light installations and visual art that give you a unique perspective of the campus. There will also be live concerts, performances, and interactive performances in unexpected places. In doing so, we delve into the university's heritage, history and day-to-day operations, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff.
Entrance to Radboud Art & Science is free and everyone is welcome. Will you be there?
