Kids and Teens Programme
During the Vierdaagsefeesten in Nijmegen, the Mariënburgplein hosts an extensive children's and youth programme, full of education, research and science, art, culture, history, sport, technology and innovation. From 18 to 23 July, 13.00–17.00, at the Mariënburgplein in Nijmegen. The Kids Area is, from Saturday 18 to Tuesday 21 July, a lively place full of adventure and education for children up to 12 years old. With stories, theatre and music on the Kids Stage. And with experiments, technology, a visit from André Kuipers and a Tooth Workshop (Tandenwerkplaats) in the Kidslab. On Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 July, this area is transformed for 12+ into the Teens Area.
ADHD Escape (Sold out)
What does it feel like to live with ADHD? Discover it for yourself in the ADHD Escape Room by Donders CityLab, on Thursday 23 July from 13.00–17.00, at the Mariënburgplein. You step into the shoes of a student with ADHD and experience the daily challenges and strengths. The escape room was developed within an Honours Lab project and is based on scientific research into the positive aspects of ADHD. Reserve your spot for 23 July, 13.00–17.00. The programme at the Mariënburgplein is a collaborative effort of various (educational) organisations, foundations and companies in the Lifeport region Arnhem-Nijmegen, including Radboud University, Radboudumc, Bibliotheek Gelderland Zuid, Huis vd Geschiedenis, LUX, Regionaal Archief Nijmegen, HAN University of Applied Sciences, Haskoning, GreenKarting, Modderkolk, Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior, Innovate, NXP, Nexperia, Makercosmos.
