Living archive, lecture and tour

Friday 12 May 2023, 2 pm - 4 pm
A Radboud Gesture

In 2017, The Living Archive started on the Radboud University campus. We are now more than five years later and a lot has happened. The Living Archive has now grown into a large movement of scientists, botanists and nature managers who work hard together to protect endangered plant species in Dutch nature. At the same time, the National Seed Collection is being built up... a real back-up of our Dutch flora and we are at the start of an ambitious research programme.

During this Radboud gesture we would like to invite you to visit ‘The Living Archive’ in Nijmegen. We will start with a lecture about the importance of our native plant species and why The Living Archive is needed. We will then visit the state-of-the-art gardens behind the Huygens building and visit the places where the National Seed Collection is being built. The excursion takes about an hour and a half.

Would you like to attend this lecture? Send an email to communications-science [at] ru.nl stating 'Living archive registration'. Please also mention how many people you will participate with. * Please note: the language of this event is Dutch *
