Using a real-life case study, they will show how data analytics and technology are increasingly transforming financial audits and decision-making. Can’t wait to start your career after your Master's? In this interactive masterclass, alumnus Andries Broekhuijsen (MSc Financial Economics), Head of Credit Risk at NN Bank, shares practical lessons on leadership, teamwork and personal growth. Through real-world examples, you'll discover how successful teams are built, how trust develops and how you can make an impact from day one in your career.

Andries Broekhuijsen started working in banking in 2008, became manager in 2014 and is an expert in risk management. After working in Van Lanschot and Delta Lloyd, he is currently heading the Credit Risk team of NN Bank. With a team of 18, Credit Risk Management has a broad focus which includes, apart from credit risk, climate risk and capital management.

Nijmegen City Council is opening its doors to give you a glimpse behind the scenes. Gijs Curfs (Economic Policy Adviser) and Susanne Schra (Economic Policy Adviser) will welcome you and explain what working at the council is like in practice. They will introduce you to the political and administrative context of working as a policy adviser at a local authority. During a case study, you’ll explore opportunities for economic development in the city. You’ll learn how stakeholders influence the work of a local authority in various ways and what challenges and opportunities you’ll face as a policy adviser.

Curious what a career at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) could look like after your Master’s degree? In this session, Vera and Jasper, both Radboud University alumni, will take you behind the scenes of their work at De Nederlandsche Bank. Vera works as a policy advisor in the Payments, Cash & Market Infrastructures division, while Jasper works as a supervisor in the Supervision Insurers division. They will share what their day-to-day work involves, and, in addition to gaining insight into hot topics related to payments and supervision from the supervisory and central bank perspective, you will also find out how they found their way to DNB after graduating and how their current roles relate to what they learned during their studies. By comparing two different career paths within the same organisation, the session will help you learn more about the variety of work at DNB, the skills and interests that matter in practice, and how a Master’s degree can translate into different roles.
