Meet-up SIG Neurodiversity in Education

Thursday 23 October 2025, 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm
Self-diagnosis

Have you ever wondered what it means to recognise yourself in terms of autism, ADHD or other neurodiverse traits, without an official diagnosis?  What does it mean to understand yourself in this way? And how does that work through within education?

The next meeting of the SIG Neurodiversity will focus on the theme of self-diagnosis. We explore why more and more students and lecturers recognise themselves in neurodiverse profiles without a formal diagnosis, and what this form of self-recognition can mean for identity, well-being and educational experience. Using real-life examples, we explore how personal experiences of (self)diagnosis affect learning and teaching.

Be welcome!

SIG meetings are always open to everyone — whether you are joining for the first time or have been before. Each meeting offers space for new perspectives, fresh ideas and valuable exchanges. So feel free to join us, even if you are not yet familiar with the SIG!
