Many young adults begin studying and start a new life in a new place. They sometimes move to another city, are given more responsibilities and there is less parental supervision. The use of alcohol and drugs during this phase is considered more normal by themselves and fellow students.
There are several great initiatives in Nijmegen for the prevention of substance use among students. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know each other, learn more about which initiatives already exist in Nijmegen and possibly work together. The meeting will take place on the campus of Radboud University. The exact location will follow.
This event is organised by Groen, Gezond en in Beweging, an initiative by the Radboudumc, the municipality of Nijmegen, GGD Gelderland-Zuid, the HAN University of Applied Sciences and Radboud University.
