If you have been living in Nijmegen for a couple of months now and want to share with fellow students how you are coping with the pressure that living and studying abroad can produce, you can join this interactive session.
In the first part of this short interactive session, we will give you some study tips to help you get through your (first) exam period of the academic year.
Then, team Social Work will discuss the different phases you go through when living in a new environment and will discuss different related topics by playing some interactive games. You will also learn what additional steps you can take if you are struggling with something and how the university can help you.
In the last part of the session, you can share your first experiences and challenges in “Dealing with the Dutch” with (Dutch) students who have recently returned from their exchanges abroad and may have had similar experiences. They may provide you with possible ways to cope with another culture, and Dutch culture in particular.
