During the Open Stargazing Evening, you are welcome to visit our telescopes! Guided by volunteers from the Astronomical Society Nijmegen, you will receive a tour (including stargazing if weather permits), a lecture by an astronomer, and there is a Q&A panel where astronomers discuss recent astronomy news and answer questions.
Times & Location
The first telescope tour starts at 7:00 PM (except in September and March when the evening starts at 7:30 PM). The last visit begins around 9:00 PM.
Meeting point is at the entrance of the Huygens Building. Parking is available underneath the Huygens Building (entrance via the side of the building, near Toernooiveld 209).
Admission is free, and in case of high demand, it will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Multiple tours will follow one after another.
