Opportunities and bottlenecks for solving labour market scarcity - Knowledge session 2: Being a good employer

Tuesday 4 June 2024, 9:15 am - 1 pm

In 10 knowledge sessions, researchers from the Faculty of Law at Radboud University will talk to experts and experience experts about insights and views on labour migration from outside the EU as a solution to labour shortages in the Netherlands. We want to both inform participants and gather knowledge from them.

During this second knowledge session, we will explore possible models for recruitment and retention of international workers from within and outside the EU in a tight labour market. Recruiting and retaining international workers requires being a good employer. Employers of international workers from outside the EU have a duty of care, which may fall squarely in line with this. But what is good employment practice, and which aspects of it are most effective?
