Plant Based Transition Week:  Climate Impact of the Meat Industry

From May 21 to May 24, a series of seminar lunches on and around the topic of Transition towards Plant-Based diet will be held on the Radboud campus. 

This lecture series explores the diverse reasons why we need to transition to a plant-based food system, shows us how to get the right plant-based nutrition, and sketches what the transition to 100% plant-based catering could look like at Radboud University with Erasmus University as an example.

Elise and Joy van Breda are two researchers, educators, and creatives who are devoted to improving understanding and stewardship of the planet’s ecosystems through storytelling and public engagement. They make planetary science accessible and raise awareness of the ecological and societal crises humanity is facing. In this lecture, they will focus on food system transformation and in particular on the impact of the meat industry on the planet. A free lunch is included.
