Programme

To play

Under the Surface

With Stroom Festival
Under the Surface by Zeno van den Broek is an audiovisual installation revolving around underwater recordings in de Waal. The installation makes the relation between the natural life in the river and the sound pollution from the shipping industry tangible by creating an immersive digital environment. The sound world of the installation immerses you in the beautiful rich underwater sound world, which normally stays hidden, under the surface.

IS THIS YOUR SIGN?

With Studio Tegenwind
You can’t miss the expo of IS THIS YOUR SIGN? About thirty cardboard signs try to translate key scientific insights as told by experts in climate and sustainability. Can they form a good way to make climate science reach and mobilise the general public? Vote for what works for you and make your own, better version!

Museum of Edible Earth

With Platform DIS
You will experience the fascinating and somewhat unknown world of geophagy, voluntarily eating earth and earth-like substances. The Museum of Edible Earth provides samples of earth that is eaten across the globe to ignite your interest and spark conversation about otherwise unconventional food practices. Additionally, in this festival you will be introduced to the preliminary “Compost as Superfood” project, a next step into sustainability and the exploration of edible earth. Bring your curiosity and join for testing and expanding your worldview!

Nimma can do

With Studio Catinca Tilea and LUX
Is the circular future one in which people can grow and bio-build goods within their community? What would the world look like if the need for autonomy and human connection would combine with the use of biotechnology? Would future humans live more connected to nature then? Multidisciplinary designer Catinca Tilea would like to invite you to make-believe such a circular future scenario.
