On Thursday 21 November 2024, the annual Radboud Science Awards will be presented in appreciation of three important and innovative studies. Every year, three researchers from Radboud University and/or Radboud university medical center receive this prize for their significant contribution to science. This year's prizes go to research on the history of slavery (dr. Coen van Galen), black holes (dr. Béatrice Bonga) and stress (prof. dr. Erno Hermans). During the ceremony, the winners will not only receive their trophy, but also give a mini-lecture to an audience of primary school students. As part of this prize, the winners will develop educational material in which they introduce children to their research. These scientific outreach projects will take place in the months following the ceremony.
