In this session the academy last year’s catapult grant winners, who conducted cross-faculty interdisciplinary projects will present their projects. In a conversation between the winners and the audience we will discuss the value of interdisciplinary research and the opportunities and challenges that come with collaboration across research teams.
This session is closed by awarding the annual Radboud Young Academy Recognition and Reward prizes, given to employees of Radboud University and Radboudumc, nominated by their colleagues, who have contributed to a healthy and collaborative working environment. Fate will decide 6 winners, who will be selected via a lottery. Each winner will receive a gift certificate of €500. Let’s give a sign of appreciation to our colleagues again, as well as a positive impulse to a healthier academic culture and nominate your colleagues at latest June 2.

Project: Strategic Essentialism and the Concept of “Vrouwenhart”.
- Roshan Cools (Radboud UMC), Rogier Kievit (Max-Planck/Donders Instituut), Hanneke den Ouden (Faculty of Social Sciences/Donders Instituut), Janna Vrijsen (Donders Instituut) en Michele Schmitter (Pro persona / Behavioural Science Insitute).
Project: This project aims to strengthen a new interdisciplinary collaboration between the medical and social sciences by connecting two established but independent cross-faculty networks: Computational Neuropsychiatry (CNP) and the Radboud Ecological Momentary Assessment Center (REMAC)
In addition, in the context of Recognition & Rewards, we will speak with Saskia Lavrijssen (Dean of the Nijmegen School of Management). This interview will explore how recognition and rewards play a role within the university.
