On Friday 8 May, Radboud University is organising a special event during the start of the Batavierenrace in Nijmegen. An evening where nostalgia, science and sport come together. During this event, you will meet researchers, entrepreneurs, students and alumni who are working on the future of a healthy, sporty and innovative region. You will hear a short keynote speech on exercise, sporting behaviour and technological innovations, followed by a networking reception with a view of the start of the iconic Batavierenrace.
Who is it for?
This event is intended for:
- alumni of Radboud University and the University of Twente
- companies and social partners from the region
- researchers and students involved in sports, behaviour, health and innovation
Programme
- 7 p.m. – Doors open
- 7.30–8.30 p.m. – Keynote speech
- From 8.30 p.m. – Networking drinks
At 10 p.m., the campus run will commence, and at 11 p.m., the Batavierenrace will restart
During the drinks reception, there will be opportunities to:
- meet researchers, alumni, students and social partners
- view demonstrations and research projects
- share memories of the Batavierenrace
The event will take place in the Gymnasion of Radboud University, home to Radboud Sport and Culture.
Participation
Participation is free of charge and includes a welcome drink and two drinks during the networking reception. Registration is required and places are limited. After registering, you will receive more information by email.
