Transgender care, particularly care for minors, is a socially challenging topic. Nationwide, an increasing number of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers are active in transgender care research. These developments highlight the growing need to formulate the right scientific questions from various broad (inter-)disciplinary perspectives. The overarching goal of this symposium is to bring together all national parties involved in transgender care research. The symposium is by invitation only.
In the first session of the afternoon, we will inform and inspire each other about ongoing research, exploring opportunities and fostering broad collaboration. The second session will focus on sharing experiences and best practices from the interdisciplinary project "My Gender, Whose Care?"
After a short break, the third session will continue with plenary discussions. The goal of this interactive part is to discuss how to address challenges, what research is appropriate to shed light on open questions, and how we can set this up. In the fourth and final session, we will explore in an interactive session which themes lend themselves well to "actionable research" where various centers and researchers can collaborate. After the fourth session, we will conclude the symposium with a networking reception.
Note: A day after the LNOT symposium, the annual National Multidisciplinary Knowledge Day on Transgender Care will take place on November 29, also in Nijmegen. This knowledge day is organized by Radboudumc and is intended for healthcare professionals and service providers interested in broad gender care.

Each panel will have four speakers who will present different perspectives. Each speaker will be asked to share their perspective in approximately 5 minutes to start the conversation. We will then engage in a broader discussion to explore various lines of thinking.
