Strengthening European Neuroscience through NeurotechEU

The StratNeuro Retreat 2026 will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at Djurönäset, situated in the picturesque Stockholm archipelago. This event is organized by the Karolinska Institutet as part of its Strategic Research Area in Neuroscience (StratNeuro) and aims to promote collaboration within the NeurotechEU Alliance.

The retreat will feature a PhD Day on 3 June, dedicated to career development and networking, allowing doctoral candidates to connect with peers and experienced researchers.

From 4 to 5 June, the main scientific program will include a lineup of distinguished keynote speakers: Anne Schäfer from the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, Nachum Ulanovsky from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Grégoire Courtine from EPFL. The agenda will also consist of plenary lectures, short talks, poster sessions, and thematic breakout discussions.

Breakout sessions will focus on critical areas of neuroscience including Circuits to Behaviour, Biomarkers in Neurological Diseases, Computational Neuroscience, and Human Brain Imaging.

This retreat serves as an important platform for advancing neuroscience knowledge, building collaborations, and supporting early-career researchers. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in networking and discussions throughout the event.
