During the study gym training you learn how to plan better, study strategically and work well with others.

    General

    Who is this course for?

It can be difficult sometimes to adjust to a new learning environment in a new country. You can feel a bit lost or overwhelmed. Maybe you’re not exactly sure what you are struggling with. Maybe there are multiple things in your life that interact with each other. Either way, you want to get a better grip on things.

The Study Gym is a bi-weekly meeting on campus throughout the year. It convenes independent of the amount of students that attend. You can compare it to a hop-on-hop-off tourist bus. You decide when you attend and you decide which study related topics you would like to address. Certain main topics like planning, procrastination, stress and constructive thinking will be focused on regularly. Attendance is voluntary, however, the more you are committed to attending the more the meetings will be of value.

    What will you learn?

Above all you will learn to take more control of yourself and your study activities. You will become aware of the choices that you make, the convictions you have and how they are impacting your effectiveness. Specific strategies will be presented either in the meetings or in webinars and tutorials that will be made available. These insights you can use to adapt and improve your study success. The sessions are with fellow international students so that you can share experiences and corroborate.

    How do you register?

To apply for the course you first have to plan for an intake with a study trainer or student psychologist. This requires that you fill in an online intake form first. After you have done this you can make an appointment yourself in the available timeslots.
