Who says archives are dusty? The festival will showcase the result of a project in which young music producers and also Nijmegen students present their own remixes from archive material from the past 100 years!
Thursday 19 October until Saturday 21 October | Basement Lecture hall complex
Archives modernised
Under the guidance of talent scout Davy Brandts, a group of young electronic music producers from Radboud University started a special project in the summer. In a unique collaboration between the 'De Basis' and DJ/producer association SoundLab, the Radboud University's archives were recently remixed, giving them a modern look. In this audiovisual showcase, you can see and hear the results of this project!
About 'De Basis' en SoundLab
De Basis is a creative hotspot where young and enterprising musicians develop their talents in professional practice rooms, aspiring artists prepare their first big shows, where people within the music industry work on a daily basis and where everyone comes together.
SoundLab Nijmegen is the very first DJ and Producer student association in the Netherlands! Our aim is to bring together students with a passion for electronic music, and in doing so, stimulate the musical development and creativity of our members.
Radboud Art & Science Festival
This event is part of Radboud Art & Science. On 19, 20 and 21 October, immerse yourself in the world of art and science on the university campus.
Let yourself be transported to the past through music, film, and dance. Walk past photo exhibitions, light installations and visual art that give you a unique perspective of the campus. There will also be live concerts, performances, and interactive performances in unexpected places. In doing so, we delve into the university's heritage, history and day-to-day operations, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff.
Entrance to Radboud Art & Science is free and everyone is welcome. Will you be there?
