We are happy to announce the third movie night in our Critical Legal Cinema series.
This time, we will be screening Utama, an award-winning film that tells the story of an elderly Quechua couple living in the Bolivian highlands as they face an unprecedented drought that threatens their traditional way of life.
Through its intimate portrayal of life on the front lines of climate change, Utama raises important questions about environmental justice, climate-induced displacement, and the global inequalities that shape who bears the heaviest burdens of the ecological crisis. The screening will be followed by a discussion exploring these themes from a range of critical perspectives.
We hope to see many of you there and look forward to a thoughtful discussion together. Please sign up via this link.
