The No Club: Say “No” More Often to Non-Promotable Tasks

Women in academic environments are more likely than their male colleagues to take on tasks that contribute little to career advancement—such as committee work, coordination, or invisible care and service roles. Inspired by the book The No Club by Linda Babcock and colleagues (2022), this workshop helps you recognize these patterns and make conscious choices that better support your career progression.

    About the Trainer

    Dr. Fieke Harinck is an organizational psychologist with a PhD in negotiation and works as a trainer and coach for academic professionals. With over 20 years of experience as an Assistant Professor and extensive work in academic organizations, she brings deep insight into the importance of managing time and tasks strategically in academia.
