Be honest: how many items from your wardrobe do you actually wear more than once a year? If you belong to the average then it's only about 20%. Time for a critical big clean! Our Thrift Shop on 4 and 5 December at Kapittelweg 33 in Nijmegen relieves you of your ballast and gives you the option to hunt for gems that others turn in. The ultimate goal would be to end up with a 'capsule wardrobe' that you love: a limited selection of items that complement each other and that you'll actually wear the whole year through.
How to join the clothing swap
1. Follow Radboud Green Office on Instagram for updates
2. Drop off your own clean, undamaged garments
You can do this between 11 and 29 November. Good quality clean clothes, shoes and accessories are welcome. Underwear and socks will be refused.
Drop everything off in one of the containers at the:
- Maria Montessori Building: on the right, next to the stairs at the main entrance
- University Library: to the left of the entrance
- Huygens Building: to the left of the entrance
- Radboudumc Education Centre
3. Check your mail
Before 4 December, you'll receive a voucher with your credit: for each quality item that you hand in, you'll receive 1 credit for an item from the pop-up shop, with a maximum of 8. So you can hand in as many items as you like, but there is a maximum to give everyone a chance to come and swap or shop.
4. Bring your voucher to the Thrift Shop
It'll be opened at Kapittelweg 33 (HAN building) on 4 and 5 December, from 11 to 16h.
Don't have anything to swap?
No worries: you can also come and shop for a small fee. All proceeds will go to the Clean Clothes Campaign.
