Many students feel that practical skills and the connection with professional practice are lacking. At the same time, professional practice increasingly demands alternative ways of presenting, such as videos, podcasts and interviews. How can education respond to this without losing its academic character?
With his TLC voucher, Vincent Meelberg developed digital instruction modules that enable students and lecturers to learn independently how to create practical assignments. The first three modules – on video, podcasts and interviews – are now available in Brightspace.
During this innovation lunch, Vincent will discuss his approach, the challenges he encountered, and the results achieved by the modules so far. He will also look ahead to new materials, such as a fourth module on exhibitions as an alternative form of assessment.
Come listen, contribute your ideas, and be inspired by new ways of assessment and presenting!
Lunch with an inspiration shot
The Radboud Teaching and Learning Centre organises the TLC Innovation Lunch every first Monday of the month to share innovative projects and results more widely. Here, lecturers, teaching support staff and other interested parties meet to be inspired by an innovative project of a Radboud colleague.
