    Contents of the training

    During this training:

    • You will learn how to make deliberate, informed, and explicitly substantiated choices for an assessment with closed-ended questions and the many variations within.
    • You will work on improving the closed-ended questions of your own assessment based on constructive tips.
    • You will learn how to determine the cut-off point for a failing and passing grade, including how to arrive at a final grade.
    • You will learn how to correctly interpret the psychometric results of an assessment and how to use these to draw conclusions about the assessment quality.

    Target audience

    New as well as experienced lecturers who want to gain more insight into how they assess.

    Method during the training

    The training consists of a meeting of 3 hours and a preparation of around 3 hours. During this meeting, and with the help of assignments that align with your own educational practice, you will work on improving your assessments. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate. The course is in English, unless all participants feel comfortable speaking Dutch.
