On Thursday 8 June 2023, Professor Anneke Smelik will give her valedictory lecture (in Dutch) titled Meditation on Fashion.
Prof. Smelik held the Katrien van Munster chair in Visual Culture. Her research deals with the interaction between fashion, identity, technology and sustainability. For example, she examines how the image of the body changes in visual culture and in fashion.
Professor Smelik's official farewell will take place in the Radboud University's Aula.
