In the Dutch theater lecture 'What makes Radboud?', alumni Breukers and Godrie investigate a vision of the future for Radboud, inspired by the special past of this university. It is a personal, playful journey full of beautiful anecdotes and memories that ends in a hopeful vision of the future.
Thursday 19 October (8.30-9.00pm) and Friday 20 October (8.30-9.00pm) | Chapel Berchmanianum
'What makes Radboud?'
The theater lecture is based on the book with the same title that was published this year in honor of Radboud's birthday. For the book, Breukers·Godrie spoke to dozens of Radboudians and conducted extensive research. This showed that Radboudians know very well what is typical for them, but that it is difficult for them to imagine their future. That was the reason for Breukers·Godrie to present a vision of the future. An image in which cooperation, creativity and imagination are central.
About Breukers Godrie
Breukers Godrie is a collaboration between philosopher and biomedical scientist Walter Breukers and artist and historian Jaap Godrie. They combine their disciplines to look at this time of change in a new way. Together they published, among other things, the book 'Addicted to infinity.' In their theater lecture, they take the audience on a personal, surprising journey through the past, present and future of Radboud, in which humor and refreshing ideas alternate.
Radboud Art & Science Festival
This event is part of Radboud Art & Science. On 19, 20 and 21 October, immerse yourself in the world of art and science on the university campus.
Let yourself be transported to the past through music, film, and dance. Walk past photo exhibitions, light installations and visual art that give you a unique perspective of the campus. There will also be live concerts, performances, and interactive performances in unexpected places. In doing so, we delve into the university's heritage, history and day-to-day operations, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff.
Entrance to Radboud Art & Science is free and everyone is welcome. Will you be there?
