The Dutch national team will play its very last friendly match before the World Cup on Wednesday, June 3 against Algeria. Algeria, ranked 28th in the FIFA rankings, is part of Group J at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, along with Argentina, Austria, and Jordan. Coach Vladimir Petkovic's team has participated in a global final tournament four times before. During the World Cup in Brazil, the team reached the Round of 16, where they lost 2-1 to Germany, the eventual world champions, after extra time.
It promises to be an exciting match and a unique opportunity to see the future world champions (the Netherlands, that is :-)) play one last time!
