It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by it all. The Internet is a doorway to EVERYTHING! On the one hand we’re confronted with big issues like social tensions, war and climate change while, on the other hand, social media shows us all sorts of people who are seemingly doing everything better than we are. You want to keep up with everything for fear of missing out but have your own issues to consider (study progress, housing, finances, relationships).
This time of year, can add to the burden. It’s nearing the end and while others are “festive and merry”, you might be forced to acknowledge that you’re disappointed in your progress and how you are dealing with it all. The prospect of a new year feels more like a heavy load than a renewed opportunity.
In the workshop you will learn how to influence your cognitive load by:
- Understanding the difference between what you are concerned about and what you have influence over.
- Addressing your irrational thoughts and formulating alternatives.
- Understanding the value of patterns, routines and rituals in your life.
