Workshop Writing a Thesis

This workshop is for bachelor and master students who are writing their thesis and don’t know what to expect or know how to successfully complete this project.

    General

Writing a thesis is very different than following a course and taking an exam. You can’t just start writing and simply add citations, references and theories. There are many tasks that need to be addressed before you can even start with the introduction.

This workshop is for bachelor and master students who are writing their thesis and don’t know what to expect or know how to manage this project towards completion. It will be a general workshop. No specific faculty or department information will be presented. The following types of questions will be addressed:

What must I be capable of?”, “What steps do I have to take?”, How do I investigate and limit my topic?”, How do I monitor my progress and make adjustments?”, “How do I communicate with my supervisor?”, “To what degree can I use AI?”, When is it good enough?”

Can you relate to one or more of these issues? Apply for the workshop! They will be addressed in a plenary session and you with get the opportunity to work on some of the topics.

    Enrollment

You can enroll in the workshop via ASB-WSTHESIS. As there is a limited number of spots available please be sure you really plan to attend before you sign up.
