Dies Natalis 2022 - 2023

The Dies Natalis is a gathering for all staff and students in honor of the anniversary of the foundation of the university. The program of this Dies Natalis is inspired by the theme 'opportunities'.

About the Dies Natalis

On Thursday 20 October 2022, Radboud University will celebrate its 99th Dies Natalis with an academic ceremony and a Eucharist.

The ceremony will take place from 14.00 pm to approximately 15.30 pm in the University's Auditorium. Prior to the academic ceremony, the Eucharist will take place from 10.30 to 11.30 am in the University Chaplaincy.

On the Programme

During the Dies Natalis there will be various cultural contributions and a number of awards will be presented.

This year, the Radboud University Medal will be awarded to Mirjam Ernestus and René Hagels. They will be presented with the medal during the 99th Dies Natalis, which will take place on 20 October 2022.

Radboud honorary doctorate for Katalin Karikó

Katalin Karikó, a biochemical researcher and Senior Vice-President of BioNTech, is set to receive an honorary doctorate from Radboud University during the celebration of the university’s 99th Dies Natalis, or anniversary, on 20 October 2022.
