Temperatures will be higher than usual, so it is important to keep windows and doors closed as much as possible. We are closely monitoring the situation and any escalation to code red. If necessary, we will take additional measures.
What extra measures are we taking?
- We are closely monitoring our buildings and installations. In collaboration with our suppliers, additional monitoring of the cooling systems is being carried out.
- Where technically possible, the air supply temperature is being lowered to provide cooling.
- Sun blinds are being lowered automatically where possible and locked to limit heating.
Additional facilities and advice
- Keep windows and doors closed.
- Find a cooler place on campus or work from home if your workplace on campus is uncomfortable.
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Limit physical exertion.
- Stay out of the sun as much as possible.
- Also follow the heat advice from the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
