The roles in a meeting are organiser, co-organiser, presenter and participant. The person who creates the meeting is always the organiser. If the organiser does not make any changes, all participants are given the role of presenter. As a presenter, you can, for example, share your screen. More information on the other roles can be found here.
Adjusting rights for presenters
Some of the presenter's role rights have been revoked because they do not actually fit the role of presenter anymore. These are the following rights:
- Mute other participants;
- Prevent invitees from muting override;
- Delete participants;
- Change roles of participants;
- Lower hands other participants.
The new permissions of the different roles in the meeting can be found here. The organiser can still change the meeting options (knowledge item, off-campus VPN connection required).
Who can admit from the lobby
The default setting for who can admit participants from the lobby will be changed to ‘Organisers and co-organisers only’. This can be adjusted by the (co-)organiser in the meeting settings. Especially for meetings with external parties, it is nice if, as an organiser, you can keep control of your meeting yourself. (This setting has not yet been rolled out, but will be activated soon).
Please note: if no (co-)organiser is present during the meeting, this may cause problems with regard to the above functionalities. The advice is therefore always to appoint a co-organiser.
