Become a Student Ambassador at the Faculty of Science

Would you like to help prospective students with making the right choice? Do you enjoy sharing your enthusiasm about your study with others? And would you like to earn some money? Then we are looking for you!

As a Student Ambassador, you are an on-call employee for various recruitment and information events for your study programme. This job is noncommittal and flexible. You will receive a fair pay, which varies per activity. We are looking for Student Ambassadors for the following activities:

Student-for-a-day (Dagje Meelopen)

During a student-for-a-day experience, you will show prospective students what a day in the life of a student looks like. They will join you in class to get a taste of the study programme. You will also show them our faculty and answer their questions about your study programme.

Unibuddy Chat

As a Unibuddy, you answer questions that prospective students have asked via the programme website. You will install a chat app on your phone, with which you can get into contact with them in an approachable way. It only takes a couple of hours per month and you are free to schedule your own time.

Promo Team

As a member of the promo team, you are the recruitment and information ambassador for your study programme. There is a promo team for each programme. Together with peers you form a team that helps on Open Days, Experience Days, or other activities. You also assist in the promotion of your programme via promo videos, presentations, or on social media. But you might also be asked to help with internal activities. The promo team is coordinated by a student of your programme who will approach you about activities.

Domain information (Domeinvoorlichting)

As a presenter for Domeinvoorlichting you visit secondary schools in the Netherlands to give a presentation and answer questions about a certain domain or cluster of study programmes. In the presentation, you discuss multiple study programmes using an overarching theme. This allows the secondary school students to learn more about the overlap and differences between the study programmes. You will of course be matched with the overarching domain of your study direction. Please note that you need to speak Dutch at a (near-)native proficiency in order to be a Domeinvoorlichting presenter.
