Beware: thieves active on campus

In recent months, belongings have been stolen at several places on campus. These incidents highlight the importance of vigilance: don't leave your valuables unattended when studying or working on campus.

Are you working or studying on campus? Then take your valuables with you if you need to leave your place for a while or store them safely in a locker. Many buildings have lockers where you can safely store your belongings.

Is there a case of theft?

Always report theft to Service Security via 024 36 19000 or meldkamerbeveiliging [at] radboudumc.nl (e-mail). In addition, contact the ICT Helpdesk if your laptop or phone is stolen because there may be a data leak. For this, you can call 024 36 22222 seven days a week, 24 hours a day. If you cannot call, please send an e-mail to icthelpdesk [at] ru.nl (icthelpdesk[at]ru[dot]nl).

Report suspicious circumstances

Do you see anything suspicious on campus? Then report it to the nearest reception desk or contact Security Service on 024 36 19000. Is there an immediately unsafe situation? Then call Radboud University's emergency number: 024 36 55555.

What can you do yourself to prevent theft?

  • Lock your bike with two locks and take loose parts like a battery or bike computer with you, even in the locked bike sheds.
  • Store your personal belongings in a locker
  • Are you an employee? Then lock your laptop screen when you leave your workplace:
    • Windows workplace: use Windows key + L
    • Mac: CTRL + CMD + Q

Together, we can make the campus safer.
