Borrowing books from the law library during the summer closure

The Grotius Building will be closed from 20 July to 9 August. If you wish to borrow books from the law library during this period, you can reserve them via RUQuest and collect them at a designated collection time from the central university library.

Would you like to borrow books from the law library in the Grotius Building whilst the building is closed? If so, please follow these steps:

  1. Reserve your books via RUQuest.
  2. You will receive a confirmation email. This will state when you can collect the books. See below for an overview of the fixed collection times.
  3. Collect the books from the Service Centre in the central university library, Erasmuslaan 36. 

Collection times

  • Requests made before 6.00 pm on 20 July can be collected from the central university library from 3.00 pm on 21 July
  • Requests made before 6.00 pm on 27 July can be collected from the central university library from 3.00 pm on 28 July
  • Requests made before 29 July at 6.00 pm can be collected from the central university library from 30 July at 3.00 pm
  • Requests made before 3 August at 6.00 pm can be collected from the central university library from 4 August at 3.00 pm
  • Requests made before 5 August at 6.00 pm can be collected from the central university library from 6 August at 3.00 pm
     

Returning books

The standard loan period for books is four weeks. This period can be extended provided the book has not been reserved by someone else. After this period, you can return the books to the law library as usual.
