Claartje Bulten is professor of Company Law at the Van der Heijden Institute, part of the Radboud Business Law Institute (OO&R). She is also chair of the Van der Heijden Institute and board member of OO&R. Her recent research interests include the role and duties of supervisory directors and regulators, corporate litigation and sustainable corporate law.
Bulten studied at the Nijmegen law faculty from 1994 to 2000. In 2011, she obtained her PhD for her dissertation entitled 'De geschillenregeling ten gronde'.
In addition to her research and teaching activities, Bulten is a member of the supervisory board of KPMG NV. She also chairs the Dutch Company Law Committee and the Public Limited Company Law Expert Group (both set up by the Ministry of Justice and Security, the latter together with colleague Martin van Olffen).
