Currently, there are some questions about the climate in the Maria Montessori building. We use underfloor heating and cooling systems to regulate the temperature. These systems operate slightly slower. Additionally, since 2022, our university has decided to activate the floor cooling only when the temperature reaches 23 degrees Celsius. At that point, the valve for the cooling water opens, and the floor cooling system starts to cool the space. Due to the nature of this underfloor cooling, the system operates at a slower pace, and it takes some time before the noticeable effect occurs.
Furthermore, each room is equipped with air treatment to refresh the air.
Transition Season
We are currently in a transition season, which requires us to heat the building in the morning due to the cool outdoor temperature. However, as the morning progresses, we need to switch to cooling. This ensures that there is still warm water in the floor during the morning, gradually cooling throughout the morning and afternoon. Naturally, this process requires some time. All of these considerations are due to the specific type of system installed in the building.
