Commissioned by the ’Nederlands Juristenblad’ (NJB), Corjo Jansen, chair of the Radboud Business Law Institute and professor of Legal history and Civil law, wrote the book ‘Over de polsslag van de tijd’.
In the book, Jansen offers an in-depth look back at a century of NJB, from its founding in 1925 to the journal's modern role in the 21st century. Jansen highlights the evolution of NJB in various historical contexts: from the interbellum and the Second World War to the reconstruction, the turbulent 1960s and 1970s, and the digitalisation of recent decades. Each period is characterised by unique legal and social developments, which the journal has reflected in its own way.
The publication is richly illustrated with contributions from lawyers, editors and staff who have shaped the journal over the years. Their personal stories and professional insights give the book an authentic character. It is not only a historical overview, but also a tribute to the people behind NJB.
