The Executive Board has endorsed the demonstrations, as the cuts must be prevented. At the same time, it is important that teaching and research can continue as much as possible.
President of the Executive Board, Alexandra van Huffelen: "We must continue to oppose these cuts, which hit our teaching and research hard. We therefore call on all students and staff to visibly demonstrate, with as little negative impact on our teaching and research as possible."

For staff members:
- The principle is that staff members who wish to participate in demonstrations will be given the opportunity to do so. Of course, they must coordinate this with their supervisor. In the case of weighty arguments, this principle may be deviated from.
- Staff members who wish to participate do not have to take a day off or special leave to do so. Those who still want to record these hours in some way may do so under ‘special leave’.
- Lecturers who join the demonstrations must make sure that students are still taught all of the material within the course period.
- Scheduled assessments will be held as normal. Staff members who are unable to participate as a result of this should seek a solution in coordination with their supervisor.
For students:
- Scheduled assessments will be held as normal.
- Students will not be required to attend lectures or classes on 13 March; attendance is only required for exams, patient care and obligatory practicals that cannot be made up for or rescheduled.
- Students are responsible for making up for any missed lessons.
