Do an internship in the United States with Internships in the Valley

Are you a master's or PhD student looking for paid work experience in the United States? Then sign up for Interships in the Valley! With personalised guidance, educational courses and a community of like-minded students, they will help you find your dream internship in Silicon Valley or another place in the United States.

What does it entail?

Internships in the Valley is an internship programme that helps masters students, PhD students and recent graduates from Dutch research universities find internships at innovative companies, such as NASA or LinkedIn, in San Francisco and other cities in the United States.

  • The internships are paid (minimum of $3,500 per month).
  • You will get help applying for a visa.
  • If you have a low income, you can receive financial support through the Dutch2USA grant.
  • During your internship, you will have the chance to expand your local network.
  • The internship does not have to be part of your studies.
  • Internships can range from 3 months to 1 year.
  • After registering, you get access to the platform through which you can start looking for an internship. You are not yet committed to anything.

How do I apply?

The application deadline for this round is 15 April. You must meet two requirements if you want to participate.

  • You are currently a master's student or PhD student at one of the research universities in the Netherlands or graduated no later than 1 year ago when your internship starts.
  • Your grade point average is at least a 7.
