Faculty Education Awards for Kati Ihnat and Eva Koch

Every year, the faculty education awards are presented during the summer gathering. The jury received a large number of nominations and would like to congratulate every nominated lecturer on this honour. From the many nominations, the jury has selected two winners. Kati Ihnat has been awarded the Education Award for Senior Lecturer, and the Education Award for Junior Lecturer has been awarded to Eva Koch

The jury received eleven nominations from all corners of our faculty. The nominations demonstrate the richness, diversity and high quality of the wide range of education we provide together in this faculty. The jury has therefore emphasised that all nominees ought to be proud of the work they do every day.

Kati Ihnat has received the Education Award for Senior Lecturer for her open, engaged and motivating teaching style. Students say that this lecturer enables them to be open and vulnerable, precisely because this colleague does the same. Social safety is clearly a high priority. Colleagues describe the award winner as extremely approachable and collegial, and as a role model in the field of educational development.

Eva Koch is praised by students for her highly creative teaching style. Thanks to a wide range of courses, she has become proficient in various teaching methods and is a true all-rounder in education. Furthermore, Eva is committed to student wellbeing in a number of ways.

Both winners have been nominated for the university education awards, which will be presented during the coming academic year.
