Prof. Dr Gert-Jan Hospers, Endowed Professor of Human Geography, published his book ‘Handboek Stedelijke Economie’ on 5 March. He wrote this book especially for his course ‘Stedelijke Economie in Europa' (Urban Economics in Europe), which is taught at Nijmegen School of Management.
Gert-Jan Hospers publishes ‘Handboek Stedelijke Economie’ especially for university course
Hospers' book focuses on the interaction between cities and the economy, as these are closely connected and influence each other. He also includes practical examples based on interesting case studies from European cities. To get a grip on the versatility of the subject, a selection has been made of popular themes from contemporary literature and policy practice. The book is therefore not only interesting for students, but also for professionals in the urban economy, such as aldermen, policy officers, entrepreneurs and advisors.
