Handboek Moral Injury in Context

Soldiers, police officers, firefighters and healthcare providers are often faced with decisions that can make the difference between life and death. What happens when they are confronted with tragic moral dilemmas, make mistakes or discover that they have temporarily lost sight of their own standards and values? This book offers crucial insights into the impact of such experiences and shows what we can do about them. From the individual level to the organisation, politics and society. The book approaches moral injury explicitly and from an interdisciplinary approach, namely: psychology, philosophy, organisational science and social sciences. This makes the handbook unique.
