Van den Broek succeeds Vincent van Hoof as Vice Dean for Education. De Lange takes over the role of Vice Dean for Research from Hansko Broeksteeg. Broeksteeg served as interim Vice Dean following the departure of Claartje Bulten last year.
The Faculty Board is delighted with the appointments. At the same time, Dean Frits-Joost Beekhoven van den Boezem expressed his appreciation for his departing colleagues: "First of all, I would like to thank Vincent van Hoof for his dedication and flexibility. He extended his term as Vice Dean for Education several times to help ensure continuity within the Faculty Board. On behalf of the faculty, I would also like to sincerely thank Hansko for stepping forward last year to support the faculty during what were at times challenging circumstances."
With the appointment of the new Vice Deans, the Faculty Board is once again complete. Together with Dean Frits-Joost Beekhoven van den Boezem and Acting Managing Director Egon Houben, who will take up his position in August and succeed Interim Director of Operations Tessa van Schendel, the Board aims to provide stability, continuity and a sense of calm within the faculty.
Over the coming period, the Faculty Board will focus on delivering the savings required of the faculty and on strengthening the faculty's working environment. Throughout this process, maintaining the quality of education and research will remain the guiding principle.
