How do you tackle discrimination and harassment? Learn it through this module

Radboud University is committed to a safe, inclusive and equitable academic community. There is no room for discrimination and harassment at our university. But how do you recognize moments of discrimination or harassment and how can you act in those situations? You will learn it in the module Tackling Harassment. Afterwards you will receive a certificate. Moreover, you will have a chance to win DEI T-shirt if you complete the module before October 31st 2022.

Mimicking someone's accent, a comment about someone's clothing or making assumptions based on someone's sexual preference. Harassment comes in many forms: sometimes you signal it clearly, sometimes it is difficult to recognize. In many cases, you can take action as an active bystander to support someone experiencing hate or harassment.

The module Tackling Harassment helps you recognize situations of discrimination or harassment and provides tools to act appropriately in such situations. As Radboud University, we encourage all our students and staff to take this module. We believe this knowledge contributes to a campus where we can all feel safe and included.

Upon completion Email your certificate to inclusion [at] ru.nl to meet a member of the DEI team to collect your prize.

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion strategic plan

The module is part of the strategy presented in the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) plan that Radboud University launched this summer. The plan aims to promote an inclusive university community through concrete interventions in the coming years.

The DEI plan will also be discussed during Diversity Day on October 4, 2022. On that day full of activities around diversity and inclusion, we will have conversations with various partners (including HAN and Max Planck Institute) about where we are, what we have achieved, and where we want to go. All students and employees are cordially invited to these discussions and the rest of the program of Diversity Day.
