Improved navigation and new homepage for RU.nl

As of today, RU.nl has a revamped homepage and improved navigation. Visitors can find information for different target groups at a glance. Information for staff and students is also easier to access.

Visitors who open RU.nl on their laptop, desktop or tablet will now find a navigation bar at the top of the website. The new menu allows you to navigate directly to information about programmes, research and more at Radboud University. For mobile users, the menu can be opened via the button at the top left of the screen, as before.

User research showed that students, staff and alumni sometimes found it difficult to find the information that was relevant to them. That is why the updated navigation bar also includes buttons that take you to the overview page for these target groups. Finally, the front page of the website has been refreshed: you now need to click around less to get an overview of the most important events and current developments on and around the campus.

User testing

In June 2022, we launched Radboud University's new website. Since then, we have been conducting regular user tests and other surveys so that we can improve the user experience based on the wishes of our visitors. This revamped front page and navigation bar were also created thanks to feedback from students, staff and other visitors.

A new round of user testing will take place in February. Would you like to sign up? Please contact us at onlinemarketing [at] ru.nl (onlinemarketing[at]ru[dot]nl). If you have any feedback about the new homepage or other aspects of the website before then, you can reach us at cms [at] ru.nl (cms[at]ru[dot]nl).
