International Collaboration for Inclusive Water Management in Indonesia

On November 24, representatives from Sam Ratulangi University in Sulawesi, Indonesia, visited the Radboud Social Cultural Research Institute. The representatives collaborate closely with the Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies research group.

Radboud researcher and Anthropologist Elizabeth MacAfee spent several months at Sam Ratulangi University, giving guest lectures and conducting research. The university is actively involved in the Resilient Indonesian Slums Envisioned (RISE) project led by Edwin de Jong. The project aims to make the water management policies of the Indonesian government more inclusive, resulting in the improved well-being of people living in slums.

Interim Dean Ron Scholten warmly received the group.
