The Keuzegids Universiteiten is an annually published, independent guide assesses the quality of Bachelor’s programmes and universities. The Keuzegids largely relies on the assessments submitted by students in the National Student Survey (NSS). The areas assessed include quality of the content of the programme, lecturers, examination, career orientation, and ambiance.

What is a traditional university?
The Netherlands has 14 traditional universities, united under the Universiteiten van Nederland (UNL) flag. Of these, six are referred to as ‘traditional, general universities’, because the humanities, the social sciences and the natural sciences (including medicine) are represented. Besides Radboud University, Groningen, Leiden, Utrecht and Amsterdam (VU and UvA) universities are all in this group.
