PhD canidates from both Leuven and Nijmegen gave insightful presentations on:
- rethinking the EU prospectus regime (Florence De Houwer),
- the ECB’s road to green monetary policy (Zsa Zsa Knödler),
- national practices in setting capital requirements for systematically important credit institutions (Joeri De Smet),
- MiCAR & Dutch property law (Vidan Samardžić),
- sustainable fund regulation in Europe (Arnoud van Caenegem),
- liability for (un)authorised payment transactions (Sjoerd Breukelaar),
- the Federal Reserve: empowered & jeopardized (Pieterjan Heynen),
- and proportionality & fund regulation (Steven Verschoot).
Alongside the presentations, there was active discussion and knowledge exchange between researchers from both universities.
The Financial Law Centre acknowledges the important organizational role of Sjoerd Breukelaar, Ursula van Baal, Fabienne Evers, and Myrthe Vos, and looks back on valuable days that reinforced ties with KU Leuven and enhanced cooperation.
