Students are generally very satisfied with the Master's programme in Human Geography (4.05/5), the lecturers (4.39/5), the programme content (4.18/5), the atmosphere (4.27/5) and the study facilities (4.20/5). The Master's programmes in Planning and Environment and Society Studies also receive an overall rating of 3.65/5.

The survey is being organized by the universities, the ministry of Educational, Culture, and Science, and the Studiekeuze123 foundation. The goal of the NS is to gain insight into the quality of study programmes from the perspective of students and is an important source for internal quality assurance. In addition, the results of the NSS are used for important and popular information sources for prospective students.
